Sturdy black metal enclosure measuring 118 × 94 × 38 mm. All connectors are standard DB9, fully wired for RS232 full-duplex operation. Designed for direct integration into serial-dependent workflows — no firmware, no app, no cloud dependency. Simply plug cables in and press the button to switch. Operates in two distinct configurations: ‘Device Sharing Mode’ lets four host computers take turns accessing a single RS232 instrument (e.g., scale, modem, or PLC programmer); ‘Host Sharing Mode’ allows one PC to communicate with four separate RS232 peripherals (e.g., barcode readers, RFID scanners, temperature loggers) without changing cables. Built for longevity in environments where dust, vibration, and repeated plugging/unplugging occur daily — the metal shell protects internal contacts and maintains consistent electrical performance over years of service.
