Gather tools: drill, screwdriver, tape measure, hammer, pencil. 2. If the bottom rail lacks pre-installed pins, drill two holes — 1/2 inch deep, using a 7/64 inch or 3/32 inch bit — centered on both sides of the rail. 3. Insert the pins into the drilled holes. 4. Position the blind with the bottom rail flat; mark bracket placement on the door or surface using a pencil. 5. Secure the bracket with screws. 6. Measure and mark the corresponding position on the opposite side. 7. Repeat steps 4–6 to install the second bracket.
