This white ABS plastic spring housing kit contains one left-hand (LH) and one right-hand (RH) component, each moulded to replicate the geometry and mounting interface of original Dometic part numbers 2002236004 and 2002236012. Dimensions adhere to industry-standard tolerances (±1–3 cm), and the material offers excellent dimensional stability across operating temperatures typical of caravan and motorhome refrigeration systems. The housings are lightweight yet rigid, supporting proper spring positioning and consistent door return force. Functionally, these casings secure the internal coil spring mechanism that governs freezer door closure — a critical point of failure in ageing Dometic RM-series units. Correctly installed, they restore positive latch engagement and reduce cold air loss caused by sagging or misaligned doors.
