URC-1699 TV DVD Remote

Housing: ABS plastic; colour: black; power: 2 × AAA batteries (not included); no measurements or weight specified in source. The URC-1699 targets the most common UK living room configuration — a television paired with a standalone DVD or Blu-ray player — delivering unified control without requiring device-specific remotes. Its IR transmission pattern is calibrated for typical UK room layouts, including angled seating and moderate ambient light interference. It serves as both a daily driver and contingency tool: equally effective as a main remote for modest AV setups or as a dependable spare when primary remotes fail — especially valuable during peak viewing periods like holidays or sports events when replacement delays matter.
