ELV is a mechanical failure in the steering column lock. This fault occurs independently and is not caused by any other vehicle issue. In the event of malfunction, the vehicle will not start—even with a fully functional key—because the ELV steering column lock fails to activate. To resolve this, a new ELV steering column lock must be installed and programmed into the vehicle.
