Trailer-Safe Outboard Steering Lock

This outboard steering lock is specifically optimised for safe road transport. Measuring approx. 15 cm across the locking arms and weighing just 180 g, it offers lightweight yet dependable restraint. The plastic housing resists chipping and abrasion, while the curved cable ensures clean routing away from sharp edges on brackets or transoms. Fits hydraulic steering rods up to 4.5 cm in diameter and accommodates typical column spacing found on 20–300 HP outboards. Unlike generic straps or clamps, it applies symmetrical pressure directly at the steering cylinder — maintaining neutral alignment without twisting or torqueing linkages. Installation involves aligning the motor centrally, then snapping the dual-arm lock onto both sides of the column simultaneously. Designed for daily use: ideal for weekend boaters who trailer regularly, marina staff managing multiple vessels, or rental operators needing fast, consistent setup between users.
