Tapered Fork Crown Race 39.8mm

A dedicated replacement crown race for 1.5 inch tapered bicycle forks, machined from aluminum alloy for optimal strength-to-weight balance. With an inner diameter of 39.8mm and 5mm thickness, it fits securely onto the fork crown and interfaces directly with the lower headset bearing. Weighing only around 6g, it contributes minimally to overall front-end mass while maintaining rigidity. This open-style crown race supports standard external cup (EC) and zero-stack (ZS) headset systems sized for 52mm and 54mm head tube diameters—common in contemporary road, gravel, and fitness bikes. Its clean, uncoated aluminum finish allows for easy inspection of surface condition during maintenance. Supplied individually, it’s intended for direct replacement when the original crown race shows signs of galling, denting, or loss of press-fit retention—ensuring continued smooth steering and headset longevity.
