TAN-Breaker Generator Interlock Kit

This interlock kit is validated for use only with Cutler Hammer CH-series load centres equipped with TAN-style main breakers — identified by a recessed (depressed) main breaker area. It is explicitly incompatible with CH panels using PON breakers (flat or raised main breaker surface). Requires horizontal single-handle main breaker orientation (left-on / right-off) and exactly 1.5 inches of spacing between the main breaker and adjacent branch breakers. Made from lightweight yet strong aluminium alloy, the kit contains one interlocking plate, one purpose-matched drill bit, and two zip ties. Its mechanical design guarantees that the main utility supply and generator supply cannot be active simultaneously — a critical safeguard against backfeeding. Designed for straightforward, DIY-friendly installation while maintaining compliance with essential electrical safety practices for residential backup power setups.
