Sustainable Teak Spurtle 5-Pc

A thoughtfully scaled 5-piece spurtle set made from plantation-grown teak — selected for grain stability, natural oil content and thermal resilience. Each tool undergoes 7-stage sanding (80–320 grit), followed by triple-rubbing with virgin coconut oil. No stains, dyes or lacquers. Sizes: 19 cm, 22 cm, 24 cm, 27 cm, 30 cm — covering 95% of UK kitchen tasks from espresso stirring to Sunday roast gravy scraping. Handle diameter: 2.6–2.9 cm for optimal palm fit; tip thickness: 0.4 cm for flexibility without bending. Average density: 675 kg/m³ — denser than acacia but lighter than rosewood, striking balance between durability and manoeuvrability. Spurtles originated in Scotland for porridge stirring — their slender, tapered form prevents lump formation while encouraging even heat distribution. This modern interpretation retains that principle: ideal for tempering chocolate, folding whipped cream or deglazing pans without splashing. Fully dishwasher-safe *in short cycles*, though hand-washing recommended to preserve finish longevity. Developed with UK culinary habits in mind — compatible with induction hobs (no metal), compact storage needs, and preference for natural materials in food contact zones. Backed by 2-year craftsmanship guarantee covering warping or splitting under normal domestic use.
