Each crab trap cage measures approximately 20.0 x 20.0 x 18.0 cm (7.86 x 7.86 x 7.07 inches) and is constructed from durable steel wire for long-term use in freshwater and saltwater environments. The cage weighs lightweight yet maintains structural integrity thanks to its robust wire mesh construction. A central bait pin holds bait securely in place, while a built-in counterweight lead drop ensures the cage settles upright and stable on uneven riverbeds, lake floors or seabeds. Its inward-sloping entrance design allows crabs to enter easily but makes exit difficult once inside — a proven passive trapping principle. Ideal for recreational crabbing in rivers, lakes and coastal areas across the UK and Europe.
