Stretchable Rubber Band Saw Tire

Made from durable black rubber, these bandsaw tires are available in five sizes: 8 inch (205 × 12.7 × 3 mm), 9 inch (230 × 12.7 × 3 mm), 10 inch (250 × 12.7 × 3 mm), 12 inch (317 × 20 × 3 mm), and 14 inch (350 × 24.5 × 3 mm). Each tire has a consistent thickness of approximately 0.12 inch (3 mm) and width of 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) for 8–10 inch sizes, 3/4 inch (20 mm) for 12 inch, and 1 inch (24.5 mm) for 14 inch. Designed specifically for woodworking band saws, they fit snugly onto scroll wheels without requiring adhesive in most cases. The rubber compound is formulated to deliver reliable grip and resistance to slippage during operation, ensuring consistent blade tracking and cutting force. Installation involves soaking the tire in warm water for 3–5 minutes to soften it, then carefully pressing and prying it into the wheel’s outer groove using a flat-blade screwdriver — starting from one side and working evenly around the circumference. Because the unstretched circumference is intentionally smaller than the wheel’s outer diameter, the rubber stretches tightly during installation to form a secure, non-slip interface. This design prevents movement or loosening under load, maintaining accuracy and safety during extended woodworking tasks.
