Spring-Door Steel Wire Fish Trap Basket

A purpose-built, collapsible fish trap made from durable galvanized steel wire. Standing 31 cm tall with a 25 cm base and 21 cm top opening — narrowing internally to 15 cm — it balances stability and selective entry. Weighing only 300 g, it combines lightness with strength, thanks to its welded wire frame and protective galvanized coating. The spring-operated door allows one-handed operation: press to open for baiting, release to close securely. This passive trapping system works continuously while anchored or weighted, capturing crabs, shrimp, squid and small fish efficiently. Suited to tidal zones, harbours and sheltered bays across the UK and Northern Europe.
