Small Bird Foraging Basket With Grass

Diameter: ~12 cm; height: ~10 cm; total weight approx. 55 g. Woven from sun-dried grass and heat-treated bamboo — no adhesives or synthetic binders. Includes smooth-sanded wooden beads, hollow bamboo rings, unbleached paper confetti, soft vegetable-based chew blocks and nickel-free jingle bells. Intended for parakeets, budgies, cockatiels and lovebirds (25–120 g). Each element serves a functional purpose: grass fibres support shredding and nesting instinct; bamboo rings offer grip and rotation; chew blocks provide safe oral stimulation; confetti adds unpredictability to foraging paths; bells reinforce cause-and-effect learning. The basket hangs securely from two reinforced grass loops, designed to withstand repeated tugging without fraying. Used daily, it reduces stereotypic pacing and vocalisations linked to under-stimulation — particularly effective during solo-cage hours when human interaction is limited — by delivering consistent, self-paced mental and physical input.
