This RS485-enabled Modbus RTU I/O expansion module delivers 16 photoelectrically isolated NPN active-low inputs and 16 Darlington transistor outputs (ULN2803), operating across a broad DC supply range of 6.5–30V (including 12V and 24V). Typical working current is 8–50mA. Each output supports six operational modes: Open, Close, Instant, Self-locking, Interlocking, and Delay (adjustable up to 255 seconds). Modbus RTU communication supports function codes 03 and 06 natively, with function code 16 available on specific registers. Up to 64 devices can coexist on one RS485 bus. Baud rate is selectable via jumper: 2400, 4800, 9600, or 19200 bps (factory default: 9600). Each output handles up to 300mA load current. Supplied with a DIN35/C45-compatible UM72 housing — 72mm wide, VO-flame-retardant, designed for 100mm PCB length — and includes one module + one enclosure.
