Rotating Multi-Media Biofilter Cartridge

Compact 19 x 7.5 x 4.7 cm biofilter cartridge made from non-toxic plastic. Designed specifically for freshwater aquariums, it integrates a rotating cotton sleeve, internal telescopic adjustment mechanism, and sponge-based pre-filtration. The 360-degree rotation allows users to orient the cotton for maximum exposure or easiest rinsing. Its open architecture accepts additional filter media such as ceramic noodles or zeolite to extend biological capacity. The built-in air inlet draws ambient air to generate continuous micro-bubbles, enhancing water circulation and surface gas exchange. The sponge component provides immediate mechanical filtration by retaining fine particulates and organic sludge, protecting downstream media from premature clogging.
