Reusable Beeswax Sourdough Bread Bags

Set of two large-format bread bags (17″ × 12″) made from tightly woven organic cotton, sealed with a proprietary natural coating of pure beeswax, cold-pressed jojoba oil, and sustainably harvested tree resin. The fabric feels substantial but supple — thick enough to hold shape with a full loaf, yet pliable enough to fold and tuck neatly into a bread bin or drawer. The coating functions as a dynamic humidity regulator: it repels external moisture while permitting slow internal vapour exchange — a key factor in preserving sourdough’s acidity-driven shelf life and preventing the starch retrogradation that causes staleness. Tested across UK seasonal humidity levels, it performs consistently in both summer warmth and winter dryness. Use cases include daily storage of home-baked loaves, transport of bakery-sourced sourdough, portioning of pastries for school lunches, or vendor use at local markets — all while visibly reducing reliance on single-use packaging. Care remains simple: cold rinse, air dry inside out, and avoid direct sunlight or heat sources to preserve wax integrity.
