When the switch closes to ground (within 170-210°C) the relay is energized and powers the fan. And the switch will open and break the ground circuit when the temperature drop. 3.The relay de-energizes and cuts power to the fan. Installation Precautions: (1) Turn off the engine, and after the water in the engine radiator has cooled to room temperature, replace with a new cooling fan temperature switch. (2) Please avoid using external high temperature sources after installation. (3) When installing, avoid sprinkling water on the surrounding automobile parts.
