This lab-grade programmable resistor delivers accurate, repeatable resistance values from 0.1Ω to 9,999,999.9Ω using an 8-tier cascade: x0.1Ω, x1Ω, x10Ω, x100Ω, x1kΩ, x10kΩ, x100kΩ, and x1MΩ. Each tier is adjusted via a jumper cap with 10 discrete positions (0–9), allowing total resistance to be calculated as the arithmetic sum across tiers. Built with ±1% metal-film resistors (some ±0.5%), rated at 0.1W per section and exhibiting a typical temperature coefficient below ±200 PPM/°C, the board prioritises stability in ambient-lab conditions. Its compact plastic enclosure features clear labelling and robust terminal access, making it suitable for university teaching labs, R&D prototyping, and field service calibration. Common applications include op-amp gain/bias setup, DC-DC feedback network iteration, strain gauge bridge balancing, and replacement of ageing slide rheostats in legacy test gear. Users are advised to measure final resistance with a multimeter due to cumulative tolerance effects — especially relevant when relying on the lowest decade for sub-ohm adjustments.
