A dedicated rear chain tensioning solution crafted from robust PC (polycarbonate) engineering plastic — selected for its balance of stiffness, resilience, and low creep under sustained load. Designed to integrate cleanly with Brompton’s proprietary rear dropout system. Confirmed compatible with all official Brompton drivetrain variants: single-speed, internal 3-speed (e.g., S3X), external 2-speed, internal 5-speed (e.g., i-Motion 5), and internal 8-speed (e.g., Nexus 8). Measures 62 mm in length, 28 mm wide, and 14 mm thick at the guide pulley housing; total weight is 42 g. No additional hardware required — mounts directly using factory axle nuts and spacers.
