Open-Base Sink Hanging Filter Basket

Engineered for durability and daily practicality, this plastic hanging filter basket delivers targeted functionality for modern UK kitchens. Its openable bottom cover is activated by a simple, tactile switch — designed for longevity and intuitive operation. The unit is sized to sit stably on standard UK sink rims (typically 18–22 mm thick), with proportions that avoid overhang or instability. Material selection focuses on rigidity, chemical resistance, and ease of sanitisation — supporting frequent cleaning with common UK disinfectants or vinegar solutions. Functionally, it bridges two everyday needs: capturing food waste before it enters pipes (reducing blockages and odours), and storing sponges in a hygienic, accessible manner — reducing reliance on multiple single-purpose accessories.
