OD409W Imaging Drum Cartridge

The OD409W imaging drum cartridge is a functional replacement unit for the Toshiba E Studio 409S multifunction printer. With dimensions of 36.5 × 8.5 × 8.5 cm and a net weight of 1.2 kg, it integrates a photosensitive drum mounted within a rigid polymer frame with integrated gear drive and static shielding. Its core function is to receive latent electrostatic images from the laser scanning unit and transfer toner uniformly onto paper via precise contact pressure and controlled bias voltage. When installed, it corrects declining output caused by drum surface oxidation, scratches or charge retention loss — resulting in improved text legibility, reduced background fog and elimination of periodic ghosting. Suited for document-intensive workflows including HR record printing, academic syllabus distribution and contract preparation, it ensures each page meets internal readability standards. Replacement follows documented E Studio 409S service steps: power off, open front access panel, grasp handle, withdraw old unit, insert new unit along rails, confirm audible click, and resume operation.
