The MS309-based diagnostic solution includes a handheld OBD2 scanner, an 8-pin diagnostic adapter, and an ATV-specific connection cable. Its compact plastic housing measures ~14.5 × 7.5 × 2.8 cm and weighs approximately 180 g. It operates across an industrial-grade temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Fully compliant with OBDII standards introduced in 1996, it supports CAN and all five standard OBD2 protocols (SAE J1850 PWM/VPW, ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4 KWP2000, ISO 15765-4 CAN). Language support covers English, French, Spanish, and German. Key capabilities include check engine light assessment, live trouble code reading and clearing, freeze frame data review, and granular readiness status tracking — specifically for misfire detection, fuel trim, oxygen sensor response, EVAP integrity, and general component health — supporting efficient root-cause analysis on ATVs and motorcycles registered in the UK and EU.
