Mesh Support Cushion with Removable Wedge

A 38 cm × 38 cm (14.96 inch square) seat cushion built exclusively from high-density mesh cloth for durability and airflow. It integrates a precisely angled, removable triangular wedge designed to anchor pelvic position and reduce shear forces during seated activity. Adjustable straps—two longitudinal and two transverse—secure the cushion firmly to the wheelchair seat without altering existing hardware. The mesh surface remains cool and dry under prolonged use, supporting microvascular perfusion in at-risk tissue. Intended for individuals experiencing low back strain or rotational instability, its geometry encourages neutral spine alignment and reduces compensatory muscle fatigue. Tested for compatibility with common UK wheelchair models including Invacare, Drive Medical, and Pride Mobility frames, and suitable for both self-propelled and attendant-propelled configurations.
