Measures 6.5 cm in height with a slender 0.8 cm diameter shaft and weighs only 12 g. Constructed from food-safe stainless steel and heat-stable plastic. Activates precisely within the 79–82°C (175–180°F) range — the safe minimum internal temperature for poultry — delivering immediate visual confirmation via a spring-loaded, colour-contrasted head that pops upright. Requires no batteries, electronics or setup: simply insert before cooking and monitor passively. Compatible with all common UK/EU cooking appliances including conventional and fan-assisted ovens, gas and electric hobs, charcoal and gas grills, air fryers, and multi-cookers such as Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi. Ideal for roasting whole turkey, grilling chicken breasts, or preparing fish fillets for picnics.
