A dedicated M4x0.7 metric tapping bit crafted from high-speed steel for consistent performance in general metalworking. Its dimensions conform to ISO standard thread specifications, with a nominal diameter of 4mm and pitch of 0.7mm. The bit incorporates internal axial grooves along the fluted section to support uninterrupted chip flow during continuous feed. The special screw tip ensures positive engagement when initiating threads in pre-drilled through-holes, minimising chatter and slippage. Heat generated during tapping is managed effectively via the thermal conductivity of HSS and groove-assisted airflow, contributing to stable tool behaviour during prolonged use.
