M42 to EF Manual Focus Adapter Ring

Dedicated mechanical adapter for attaching M42-threaded lenses to Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. Built entirely from aluminium for lasting integrity and low mass. Outer diameter ~53mm, thickness ~12mm, weight ~55g. Incorporates an independently adjustable inner M42 ring to compensate for minor variations in lens flange depth — a feature absent in fixed-depth adapters and critical for achieving sharp focus at infinity. Supports full manual focus and aperture control as intended by original lens design. No electronic communication: exposure mode must be set to Manual or Av (with stop-down metering if supported). Verified for use on Canon EOS 5D Mark II/III, 6D, 7D series and APS-C models like EOS 700D/Rebel T5i — however, mirror interference ('boarding') may occur on some full-frame or film bodies and requires individual verification. Camera firmware setting 'Shutter release without lens' must be enabled before first use to allow exposure.
