M42 Close-Up Extension Set

A dedicated M42-mount macro extension solution comprising three solid metal tubes: 7mm, 14mm, and 28mm. Installed mechanically between lens and camera body, they extend the optical path to reduce minimum focus distance and increase subject magnification. The set supports all M42 manual-focus lenses — aperture control must be performed before mounting unless the lens features an external aperture ring. Focusing is strictly manual and requires fine positional adjustment, as depth of field becomes extremely narrow at high magnifications. Working distance shrinks to just centimetres; stable support (tripod, focusing rail) and supplemental lighting are advised. When combined, the tubes deliver up to 49mm total extension — sufficient for 1:1 magnification with a 50mm lens — and may be mixed with other M42 accessories (e.g., bellows, reversing rings) for advanced macro configurations.
