M42 Adjustable Macro Tube Set

This adjustable macro solution consists of three rigid metal extension tubes sized at 7mm, 14mm and 28mm — engineered for M42-mount SLR systems. Their modular design allows flexible configuration: use one for mild close-up work, two for medium magnification, or all three together for near 1:1 reproduction. Each tube is lightweight yet structurally stable, minimising flex under lens weight. Mounting requires no tools — simply screw the tube(s) between lens and camera body. Since no electronic signals pass through, the system maintains full compatibility with mechanical M42 lenses that feature physical aperture rings. Exposure and focus remain entirely manual, giving experienced users full creative control over depth of field and focus placement. Recommended for static subjects due to extremely short working distances (often just 2–5cm between front lens element and subject), especially suited to studio-based macro tasks such as electronics inspection, stamp/currency analysis and natural history specimen imaging.
