M.2 A/E to M Key Converter

Built on a 1.6mm-thick flame-retardant PCB with 2oz copper layers, this converter supports continuous operation at ambient temperatures up to 70°C. Its compact 2230-form-factor outline fits all standard M.2 lengths (2230/2242/2260/2280) and maintains 0.5mm minimum clearance from adjacent heatsinks or capacitors. Material composition complies with RoHS 3 and REACH standards. Electrically, it preserves native PCIe 3.0 x1 link training and USB 2.0 HS negotiation, supporting hot-plug detection and L1 substate power management when enabled by the host. No voltage conversion or level shifting is performed — all logic levels match standard 3.3V PCIe/USB specs. Primarily deployed in home office PCs, media servers, and enthusiast gaming builds where silent, cable-free wireless expansion is prioritised over proprietary OEM solutions — especially on motherboards that reserve A/E keys for CNVi CPUs or omit them entirely in favour of extra SATA or PCIe lanes.
