This electret microphone amplifier module centres on the MAX4466 rail-to-rail op-amp, engineered for low-voltage, low-noise audio preamplification. Physical specs: 18 mm length × 15 mm width × 5 mm height; mass ~1.2 g; power supply range 2.4–5.5 V DC; gain adjustable from 25 dB to 125 dB via integrated trimmer potentiometer; analog output is DC-coupled and directly interfaceable with 10-bit or higher ADCs. PCB substrate is flame-retardant FR-4 with solder-mask finish; all components are industry-standard SMD types. The electret capsule includes internal JFET buffer, feeding into a single-stage non-inverting amplifier configuration that maximises dynamic range while minimising thermal and broadband noise — key for detecting subtle acoustic changes in quiet environments.
