High-Linearity 0.5dB Step RF Attenuator

The PE4302 is a high-linearity 6-bit digital step attenuator delivering 0.5 dB resolution over a 31.5 dB range (0–31.5 dB). It functions from DC to 4000 MHz with consistent 50 ohm port match and minimal insertion loss. Powered by a single 3 V supply, it accepts both parallel and serial CMOS control inputs. Its attenuation accuracy remains tightly specified across temperature and frequency — no interpolation or correction tables required. A unique control register allows setting the default attenuation value upon power application. Physical design includes full RF shielding and reverse-voltage protection for sustained operational resilience.
