High-Accuracy DS3231 RTC Board

Physical footprint: 38 × 22 × 8 mm. Approx. 4 g weight. Combines DS3231M precision RTC and AT24C32 32KB I²C EEPROM on single PCB. Gold finish for reliable contact; rated for -40°C to +85°C operation. Accepts 3.3 V or 5 V input voltage. Timekeeping precision is achieved via DS3231M’s integrated TCXO, resulting in ±2 ppm typical deviation — translating to under 10 seconds per year. Full calendar support includes automatic day-of-week, date, month, year, and leap-year adjustment through 2100. Time state persists through power interruption using onboard supercapacitor — no external battery or charging circuit required. I²C communication uses standard addressing (RTC: 0x68, EEPROM: 0x50–0x57), supporting repeated-start conditions and clock stretching. Verified with Arduino (AVR & ARM cores), Raspberry Pi OS (Python/C), and STM32 HAL libraries. The AT24C32 provides page-write capability and 1 million erase/write cycles — suitable for frequent logging tasks. Compact form factor allows mounting in constrained spaces such as DIN rail adapters, USB-powered analyser enclosures, or handheld test tools.
