Heavy-Duty Squirrel Proof Pole Baffle

A purpose-built, heavy-duty metal baffle for protecting bird feeders mounted on wooden poles. Compatible with posts 3.5–4.5 inches in diameter, it forms a fixed-height cylindrical barrier via four rigid metal panels assembled into a square sleeve. Approximate dimensions: 18 inches height × 12 inches width (±1–3 cm); weight: ~1.2 kg. Constructed from thick-gauge metal, it retains shape under load and resists deformation from animal pressure or wind loading. Its surface tolerates continuous outdoor exposure — including frequent rain, coastal salt air, and sub-zero temperatures — without warping, cracking, or corroding. Installation involves wrapping and screwing the panels directly onto the pole using supplied tapping screws. Optimal deployment requires mounting the bottom edge of the baffle at least 4.5 feet above ground and locating the feeder ≥8 feet horizontally from trees, fences, or roofs to block all known squirrel approach vectors.
