This replacement seal uses a dual-layer design: an outer shell of high-purity IIR rubber bonded to an inner circumferential steel ring. The rubber provides resilient sealing force and environmental resistance; the ring guarantees roundness and prevents creep under sustained clamping load. It is manufactured to replicate the exact cross-sectional contour and durometer of the original DEX2422Z2 part, enabling drop-in replacement without modification. Weight: approx. 42 g. Shore A hardness: 65 ±3. Operating temperature range: −10°C to +70°C — suitable for year-round UK pool use, including winterised systems. No VOC emissions or odour during installation or service life. Fits Hayward Pro-Grid DE and SwimClear filter tanks requiring DEX2422Z2 specification. Confirmed for C2030, C3030, C4030, C5030, C7030, DE2420, DE3620, DE4820, DE6020, DE7220. Package contains one seal and one tube of neutral-cure silicone lubricant (random variant; no style selection available).
