Hard Water Softening Filter

Dimensions: 25.5 x 6.5 cm (L x D); weight: 320 g; capacity: up to 25,000 litres per cartridge (two cartridges included); housing material: durable ABS plastic with chrome-plated finish; filtration media: KDF-55 and activated carbon blend. Unlike salt-based softeners, this filter physically inhibits calcium and magnesium carbonate crystallisation using redox media—reducing visible limescale on shower glass, tiles, and fixtures. It does not remove hardness ions entirely but significantly lowers their surface-adhering potential, improving water feel without altering pH or sodium content. Built for daily use in UK homes with medium-to-high hardness (150–400 ppm CaCO₃), including London, Birmingham, and Leeds. Compatible with both fixed and handheld showerheads, and tested for durability under repeated thermal cycling (4°C–45°C).
