Built using food-grade compliant plastic for safety and longevity, with seamless integration of fine-gauge mesh across all side panels. The rigid frame supports upright stability during tabletop use, while the fixed overhead handle enables secure grip and effortless lifting — even with gloves or small hands. Includes one pair of stainless-steel-tipped tweezers (12 cm length) and a 5 cm diameter double-lens magnifying glass (3x magnification), both storable inside the box when not in use. Mesh density is calibrated to retain common UK garden species (e.g., woodlice, earwigs, ladybirds) without restricting airflow or visibility. Developed with input from primary school teachers and forest school leaders to meet UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and National Curriculum science standards for ‘living things and their habitats’.
