This 3-channel relay HAT has dimensions of 65 mm × 56.5 mm × 18 mm and a net weight of 35 g. The board integrates opto-isolation per channel, onboard LEDs, and DIP-style jumpers for input logic selection. All components are surface-mounted for durability and thermal stability. Control signals originate from standard Pi GPIO pins (BCM numbering: GPIO 26, 20, 21 by default), supporting direct integration with RPi.GPIO, gpiozero, or libgpiod libraries. No level-shifting or driver ICs are needed—the relays accept clean 3.3V logic. Load-side terminals use screw-type connectors rated for 1.5 mm² wire, supporting secure termination for permanent installations. Commonly deployed in UK residential automation, it powers scheduled lighting, garage door triggers, boiler controls, and workshop tool sequencing—all while keeping the Pi electrically decoupled from potentially hazardous voltages.
