FTDI DB15 RS232 Serial USB Cable

This industrial-grade USB-to-serial adapter uses the original FTDI FT232RL chipset to convert USB signals into fully compliant RS232 logic and voltage levels. It ends in a 15-pin D-Sub female (DB15) connector configured for standard RS232 communication. Available in three fixed lengths: 1.8 m, 3.0 m, and 5.0 m — all measured tip-to-tip under relaxed conditions. The cable core consists of twisted-pair conductors with individual shielding for noise rejection in electromagnetically noisy lab environments such as near centrifuges or RF sources. Designed for direct integration with TECAN CAVRO XCALIBUR series peristaltic pumps, it enables PC-based control via standard COM port software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python pySerial, or vendor-specific pump controllers). No additional power source is required — draws all operating power from the USB port.
