Extinction Optimised 1.25 to 2 Inch Adapter

This adapter prioritises optical performance through deliberate light-control engineering. Machined from solid aluminum alloy and weighing 95g, it features a 38mm length, 50.8mm outer diameter, and 31.7mm inner bore. Its standout characteristic is the extinction-optimised interior: tapered, matte-blackened walls with micro-baffles that absorb off-axis light before it reaches the focal plane. The front uses a precise M28.6×0.6mm thread for secure attachment to 1.25-inch devices, while the rear 2-inch barrel slides smoothly into standard focusers. External knurling enhances handling, and the hard-anodised finish ensures longevity. Designed for users who value contrast and detail over mere compatibility — especially valuable for planetary imaging or splitting close double stars under suburban skies.
