Energy Saving Fireplace Cover 100x81cm

Exact dimensions: 100 cm wide × 81 cm tall. Fabric-based construction ensures quiet, vibration-free operation — no rattling or flapping even near HVAC vents or ceiling fans. Designed for interior residential use only, compatible with traditional open hearths and brick/marble surrounds. The cover’s primary function is to interrupt the chimney stack’s ‘stack effect’ — where warm indoor air rises and escapes through the open flue. By blocking this pathway, it helps stabilise ambient temperature and reduces compensatory heating/cooling cycles. Also serves as a physical shield against wind-driven rain splash-back or pest entry via damaged flue liners. Best deployed before first frost for winter efficiency; reinstalled ahead of summer AC use; and kept ready for immediate application during builder visits, carpet fitting or chimney sweep appointments — keeping your lounge or sitting room consistently clean and climate-resilient.
