ECG Signal Conditioning Module

The AD8232 is an integrated analog front-end engineered for extracting, amplifying, and filtering low-amplitude bioelectrical signals — particularly for heart rate and ECG monitoring. Dimensions: 20 mm × 15 mm × 5 mm; weight: ~3 g; housing material: plastic. It combines a high-gain instrumentation amplifier with a tightly coupled two-pole high-pass filter to reject motion-induced artifacts and electrode DC potentials, plus a three-pole low-pass filter (using an uncommitted op amp) for configurable noise suppression. Right-leg drive (RLD) support improves rejection of mains-frequency interference. Its fast recovery function adapts filter response during transient events like lead connection, accelerating return to stable signal output. Performance is guaranteed between 0 °C and 70 °C; full operational range extends from −40 °C to +85 °C. Package contains 1 x development board and 1 x connection line only.
