eARC Optical Audio Format Converter

A dedicated hardware solution for converting HDMI eARC and ARC audio outputs into optical S/PDIF signals, tailored for UK consumers upgrading older sound systems. Its compact form factor (9.5 × 5.5 × 2.5 cm, 85g) features a matte black plastic shell designed for discreet placement behind TVs or inside media cabinets. It handles PCM2.0, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS Digital Surround 5.1 audio natively, supporting sampling rates up to 24-bit/192kHz for enhanced clarity and spatial definition. Connection is simplified to three ports: HDMI (input), Toslink (output), and USB (5V power). Fully operational upon connection — no configuration beyond enabling CEC and eARC in TV settings and selecting the target audio format in the TV’s audio output menu.
