Solid aluminium M42-to-EF lens mount adapter, black anodised for corrosion and abrasion resistance. External EF bayonet conforms to Canon’s mechanical specification; internal M42 thread meets DIN 4502 standard (42mm × 1mm pitch). Weight: 85g; thickness: 12.5mm; no glass, no electronics, no rubber gasket. Allows full mechanical coupling of M42 lenses to EF-mount bodies. Manual focus and manual aperture control only — no electronic communication, no autofocus, no auto-diaphragm. Works reliably in Manual (M) and Aperture Priority (Av) exposure modes. Verified with lenses from 28mm to 200mm, including heavy telephotos (e.g., Soligor 200mm f/3.5), with no mount deformation or thread stripping after repeated use. Mounts cleanly to EF-based macro systems, focusing rails, and cine-style lens supports. Compatible with Canon EOS film SLRs, DSLRs, and EF-mount mirrorless (via EF-EOS R adapter). Ideal for photographers prioritising reliability, tactile control, and optical authenticity over automation.
