An AD9850-based signal generation module engineered for versatility: it produces two distinct sine wave outputs and two independent square wave outputs, all programmable from DC to 40 MHz. The core uses a 125 MHz active crystal oscillator to guarantee frequency precision and long-term stability. A fixed 70 MHz low-pass filter improves sine wave spectral purity by attenuating out-of-band harmonics. The module’s physical build combines PC and metal materials for resilience and partial shielding. PIN12 provides access to the DAC reference voltage — supporting analog amplitude scaling. A front-panel potentiometer adjusts the comparator reference voltage, permitting hands-on duty cycle variation of square wave outputs. Intended for developers, educators, and technicians who require flexible, hardware-controllable signal sources without proprietary software lock-in.
