It only requires one data line and GND to communicate with microcontrollers. 3 Pins: The DS18B20 sensor has 3 separate pins compatible with GND, DATA, and VDD. DATA is the digital signal input or output terminal. GND is the power ground. VDD is the external power supply input terminal. 2 Modes: The temperature sensor can operate in normal or parasite mode. In normal mode, each sensor is connected between a power line (VDD) and ground (GND), and the data output (DATA) connects to a third data line. In parasite mode, both GND and VDD need to be connected to ground. Application: The DS18B20 temperature sensor applies compatible with thermostatic controls, industrial systems, consumer products, thermometers, and any thermally sensitive system.
