Diamond Tile Glass Drill Set

This 15-piece diamond drill bit set offers diameters of 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 25, 26, 28, 30, 40 and 50 mm. Made with iron shanks and electroplated diamond segments on the cutting head, finished in silver. Intended exclusively for hard, non-metallic, brittle materials: glass, ceramic, porcelain, glazed tile, slate, marble and light granite. Not suitable for concrete or drilling beyond ~3 cm depth. Drilling performance is characterised by fast, smooth penetration, clean exit edges and efficient debris clearance — provided correct operating parameters are followed. Critical success factors include low RPM, minimal axial force and constant water lubrication. Overheating causes rapid diamond loss; therefore, three practical water-cooling techniques are recommended: grout-based mini dams, targeted spray or steady water flow. To begin drilling, tilt the bit to 45° until a circular groove forms, then gradually bring the drill upright. Centre pilot tips aid positioning on wood or metal backup layers. Alignment can be further assisted using DIY guides made from scrap materials or gentle manual control with a wet sponge. Warning signs like smoke or burning smell indicate improper technique — stop immediately and reassess speed or pressure. Always use water — dry operation will damage the bit and compromise results.
