DC600V 2P PV Surge Protector IP20

Rated for photovoltaic systems with up to DC600V continuous voltage, this 2-pole surge protective device provides essential protection against lightning-induced and switching surges. It offers a nominal discharge current of 20kA (8/20μs) and maximum discharge capability of 40kA (8/20μs), with a voltage protection level of 2.8kV. The unit is constructed from flame-retardant polycarbonate, carries an IP20 rating, and operates reliably from -40°C to +80°C at up to 90% relative humidity. Installation uses standard 36mm DIN rail mounting—fully compatible with UK domestic distribution boards—and wiring follows clear polarity markings (+/−) to prevent misconnection. Upon detecting overvoltage, the SPD activates within nanoseconds to safely conduct surge current to earth, shielding solar inverters, DC isolators and monitoring hardware from damage.
