Corrosion-Resistant Awning Rivet Kit

Engineered for longevity in mobile outdoor applications, this kit contains one handle lift and one rafter rivet built for A&E 8500 and 9000 awnings (830644 / 830463P). The handle lift has a 3.5-inch × 1-inch base with two 1/4-inch mounting holes positioned 2.75 inches apart (centre-to-centre); the handle extends 5 inches. Rivet construction integrates a high-tensile steel mandrel with an ABS polymer shell—balancing shear strength and vibration damping. The handle’s polyethylene overmould offers slip resistance and conforms comfortably to fingers during manual operation. Materials are selected for resistance to galvanic corrosion when joining dissimilar metals—a frequent failure point in older awning systems. Installation follows standard mechanical riveting practice: align, insert, compress, and verify seating.
