Engineered to replicate the mechanical behaviour of factory-fitted K-valve spools — including thread lead angle, flank angle and root radius — ensuring optimal engagement with mating valve components. Copper’s malleability allows slight self-adjustment during initial tightening while retaining shape retention over time. Used by UK dive instructors and equipment technicians for scheduled spool replacement every 12–24 months depending on usage frequency. Compatible with both DIN and INT-style K-valve housings found on Faber, Luxfer, and Catalina cylinders commonly used in British inland and coastal diving sites.
