Compact Ball Audio Pickup With DSP Filtering

This spherical audio pickup device has a diameter of around 40mm and is housed in flame-retardant ABS material for safe indoor use. Internally, it integrates a Japan-sourced silver-plated microphone capsule, premium imported ICs, and coupling capacitors for accurate signal conditioning. Its exterior includes a micro-relief surface finish and a 2mm pinhole opening to manage acoustic reflections and preserve natural tonality. A dual-layer noise suppression system—comprising both DSP digital filtering and a dynamic closed-loop analog circuit—ensures intelligible speech capture even in moderately noisy rooms. It runs on 6–12V DC power with peak current draw of just 20mA. Monitoring range is adjustable from 10 up to 50 square meters, ideal for integration with UK-standard CCTV systems in small-to-medium sized indoor environments.
